  • The coin has the design of a 5 Mark of Bavaria, not Prussia, minted only 1877-78. The 2 gram purported weight (.0576 AGW) is correct but no 1887s were made at all.

  • You could have it sent to PCGS for certification, and if it comes back counterfeit, I'm certain that with his 98.4% feedback rating, he'd refund your money from Istanbul, eminonu, Turkey.
  • tbirde is correct. Bavaria 5 Mark gold were only made in 1877 and 1878.
    If you compare it to a real one, the lettering, date numbers, and some of the detail is all wrong...
    Definitely counterfeit.
