That WAS a lot of money back in '63. I remember my Dad's paycheck was for around $125 a week -- to feed a family of 5 boys! Twenty-five bucks was almost a week's worth of groceries. I remember my Mom paying around $30 at the local Red Owl grocery store...
Condition really didn't mean much then, you got what you got.

Really. As kids we never worried about the "grade" -- just who the heck was still, kinda showing on the card!
