Just got this in the mail, kinda different. I think it shows promise. Any other opinions?

I'm only really interested in prewar base ball, I like that it lists Pr-Fr 1, GD 2, VG 3 etc and recent sale prices. Also, it lists some strip cards -which I enjoy in armpit condition.

I know, Beckett is taboo. But this seems like a quality rag -for a premier issue.

I got a free trial issue today, along with another free trial issue of Elite. Both are nice, Elite is about things I would never purchase and pretty much all vintage so I wouldn't mind looking over it, just don't imagine subscribing. I am considering a BGCIPG subscrition.

I've said it before and will say it again - blows away SMR for pricing...and it's a really good read for major recent auction sales and features.

I agree. the first quality thing Beckett has done in over a decade.

I subscribe and I truly enjoy this price guide. It is much more useful than SMR. The market information is much more useful and the bi-monthly publication is about right for this market.

well the first thing i noticed with this guide, was that it claimed that a number of the high series cards from the 1952 topps set have dropped in value. there are lots of down arrows. now i constantly hawk this series and i usually have snipes on just about every high number i see. i have only been able to acquire a very few cards in the past 6 months with the prices being so strong, but yet they have down arrows. what the heck do i know. i only put together 3 sets in the past 18 months and i noticed a definately uptrend. maybe this will cause a softening in prices thus allowing me and whoever decided to give the set down arrows a chance to buy them up. in my experience the 1952 topps set is in more demand the ever.
