Surprise Mail Day..Put a Smile On My Face WITH CONTEST

We have a winner. Sorry to the guys that were still at work. It was LMM/Matt. THANKS MATT!!!!
But let me tell you a story first. Last weekend I was needing a fix pretty badly. There hasn't been much on Ebay lately for the 2000 CE Supreme set I'm trying to complete thus I turned to Beckett Marketplace of all things. I was pretty close to buying this card Ricky Williams PSA9 along with another that I needed. But since I like to save Beckett and Naxcom buys for the only option available I decided to wait till the end of the month hoping maybe something would pop up on Ebay since the other two usually sell at or close to high bv. So I get home today and check the mail I find a bubble mailer thinking it was the two ttm autos I purchased from an Ebay store. I tear it open and to my surprise I find this:

NOW THE CONTEST: The first person to guess who sent me this card I will send them a couple of cards for their collection. Just provide me a small list of what you're currently collecting such as team or player with your answer. Lets keep it to one unedited answer for now.

Why does everyone think Vito's avatar is from the God Father?
  • His user name is VitoCo1972. The first Godfather came out in 1972 and of course Brando's character was Vito Corleone thus VitoCo1972 but as for his avitar, I don't have any idea who that is. But I could be wrong.

Wow, it's like the history of Mike's life thread. Yes, VitoCo1972 was my first AOL screen name years ago. It's for Vito Corleone and 1972 was the year the Godfather came out. The avatar is Orson Welles (my ebay ID is fatwelles). The picture is from The Third Man which is the best movie ever made as far as I'm concerned. It's got everything, drama, action, suspense, the best setting ever for a film (bombed out Vienna after WWII) and two of the best actors ever - Welles and Joseph Cotton - and yes, I work in the film industry so I love this stuff.

What do I collect? I'm doing 70's Red Sox sets - from Boston originally, now living in LA for work. I'm also doing 57 football and recently did 61 basketball. I have a whole 38 Churchman boxing set ready to grade but no $$. So, anything Boston is always on my radar.

Oh, and since you asked, I'm 29, engaged to a lovely lady and am a Marketing Manager at a movie company.

Edited to add: Thanks for the contest!!!
  • VitoCo1972- pm me your address.
