Card Shops in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN

My wife and I are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and are going to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN next week. There was a thread on here a while back about a good shop in that area. Does anybody know of a card shop in that area?

  • Apparently there's one called the Dugout in Gatlinburg. I live in Knoxville, but haven't been to it yet. There's a REALLY good one in Chattanooga which is roughly an hour and a half away from Gatlinburg.

There's one in Pigeon Forge somewhere in with one of the many strip mall/outlet things. It's an older strip. I stopped in with the wife and kids last year. I certainly wouldn't waste my time or gas attempting to find it again.

It also had a lot of NASCAR garbage and autographed LP covers, etc.

The Dugout in Pigeon Forge. As you're leaving Gatlinburg heading into Pigeon Forge it is on the left side of the road in the same strip with Papa John's

mrbecker, my 'folks live in Chattanooga, I stayed with them for about 6 weeks last year and never knew about this great shop. What is it called and where might it be located?

Make sure you check out the Gatlinburg Ink tattoo shop a block down from that card shop. My buddy Earl owns the place. I am not a big tattoo guy myself but he's a cool cat so check him out! Tell him John in Sacramento told you stop in and I am sure Earl will give you a deal! Have fun!

Great store in Knoxville called Sports Treasures. He has been in business nearly 20 years. Check his ebay id ebark23 and click on his about me page for the phone number if you are interested.

  • Another good one in Knoxville is Wall of Fame. He's got some good vintage there, and lots of nice memorabilia pieces. collectiblesofthegame.com

The shop is called Marty's Sports Card Exchange Superstore. He's got a TON of unopened boxes of all 4 major sports from the 80's to today. Plenty of sets as well, and many good vintage and auto cards. My fave though was his bins of cheap 50 cent to $1.75 packs. I got a 1990 Leaf pack for a buck and pulled an Olerud RC, George Brett, and Dale Murphy from it. He's also got very reasonable prices on all his stuff. I was pleasantly surprised since many shops have prices a good bit higher than BBCX or eBay. Here's the store's # and addy:

Been a few years, but there was one in Gatlinburg next to the Smoky Mtn Taffy shop, but his prices were book on everything or higher, unless you wanted a card not on display, then it was more.

Also one in Pigeon Forge in a kind of shopping center, last time I was there, the kid working was more interested in his pizza than selling cards and judging by what he had, I can understand
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

It's not there anymore. It was a store that sold cards along with photography stuff. More than a few places that were in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg for years and years have closed down over the past year. Fortunately Bennett's restaurant is still there.

Just got back from Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and the Dugout is still amazing. I did see a shop in Gatlinburg that I had never seen before. It was across the street from the Ripley's Haunted Mansion. Nowhere near the selection or conversation that you can find in Pigeon Forge.
