Fantasy token?

Hi,
I'm posting this for a friend.
I know I've seen the ID to this before. But can't remember where and I just can't find it again.
A couple detectorists have dug these on the east coast.

year: 1741
Picture isn't the best but it's all I have recieved from them.

A fantasy piece of some sort. Maybe a stage prop, magic token or Mardi Gras token? Not likely to be older than the 1950s.
