Congratulations George! And in case anyone is wondering who the heck George is, that's Griffey's real first name. Ken(neth) is his middle name.

Nice to see a non-juicer continue to do well.

Terrific player, clean player, and a first ballot HOFer without a doubt.

One of the greatest of all time. He's got 600 homers and still every one of us wonders what could have been.

    That's saying something!

Such an achievement couldn't happen to a better man.

It's great to see him reach this milestone but MLB and the press really yawned at this to me. They should really hype Griffey as he is probably the best player of the 90's that has never been mentioned by anyone of doping. His injuries and recovery times to me are proof he didn't even do HGH.

  • My favorite player of all time, I just wish, like many, he woulda stayed in Seattle. Best swing ever.

One of the Greatest Men ever to take the field.

I watched his play in Seattle very closely --- I could never really determine if he was a better offensive, or defensive player. He was that good. That dude totally 'sold out' on defense; crashed into walls right and left; you could tell he loved and respected the game. He saved a lot of games with his leather. Amazing.....

Without Junior, there would be no Safeco Field.

Oddly, I was lucky enough to be in Anaheim when he and Senior hit the back-to-back HRs. I went numb!

Way to go, Junior! Congrats! You are the real deal!

I guess I never gave Griffey Jr a congrats here. He's always been one of my favorite guys and I think it just makes it more special cause he did it during the "Roids" era. He also had to come back from major injuries that caused him to miss many games during his prime.

That being said, I give this thread my "bump" . lol

If it weren't for him getting hurt so much this decade, it'd be more like 800 taters.
