where do the 1964 sms coins sit in set registry???i just don't see um
on the 65 to 67 sms registry do you think assigned bonuses will ever be corrected?
the reason i ask the later is...how is a ms68 =ms67cam=ms65dcam as set bonus applies
option c---have another beer teddy and move along
lastly---everyone help me with the july 4th giveaway on the coin forum and enter too

There is no such thing as 1964 SMS coins
They are just a myth. PCGS has labeled a few slabs 1964 SMS erroneously, but they are not SMS, they are more of a Proto type or Test example. According to the U. S. Mint, 1965 was the first year for the “Special Mint Sets”.
NGC got it right again, when they referred to these 1964 (Proto Types, Test, Patterns) as “Specimens”, to bad PCGS didn’t take the lead from them.
PCGS is trying to classify these 1964 “Specimens” as varieties. A variety of what?
