Haven't seen them play all year and they've got a .633 winning percentage.

Anybody know the secret to their early success this year ???

Pinella ? Pitching ? Defense ? Are they this good, or just a little lucky so far ?

    I'm not sure, but I think if you don't go to one game all year, the Cubs will be 2008 World Champs!! image
    I know it helps for me as I didn't go to any Laker games this year. Sorry Celtic fans. lol

    Being serious now, pitching and defense will lead to success. Look at what that has done so for the Rays this year. And every year in the playoffs it always seems to come down to good pitching and defense, and timely hitting of course.

    A favorable schedule. They've played something like 10-12 more games at home so far. They now play 24 of their next 33 on the road.

    Hitting has been a major key to their success in the 9 game winning streak..... and the fact that they were playing crappy teams!
