1847 Seated dime. F-VF or so, having most of its original toning, with faint evidence of an old cleaning near the date. The cleaning in minor in nature and would be overlooked by some people. A nice looking example of a slightly better Seated dime.

1851-O Seated dime. An absolutely delightful VF+ example of this underrated semi-key date. No major detractions, just minimal contact marks from circulation. When this was listed on the JJ Teaparty site a few years ago, I bought it immediately after they posted the pic. For every VF/XF example of this date I see offered for sale, there are approximately ten of the 1849-O offered.

1852-P Seated dime. Has most of its original dirt. Overall, a nice piece in the VF-35 to XF-40 range, marred only by a small tick on the rim between stars 1 and 2 and a few faint obverse hairlines. Looks better than the pictures. There is a tiny piece of dirt resting under the date in the photo that is not on the coin. This is one of those pre-1853 dates that was widely melted for its silver content.

1856-O Seated dime. This is one of the varieties with the date slanting upwards. I *think* this might be a Fortin-104 repunched date, but I don't have the coin in front of me and the photo isn't good enough to tell. This is an uncleaned, original VF, with a few light contact marks scattered about the obverse. A decent average+ coin for the grade.

1857-O Seated dime VG-10 to Fine, with slightly uneven, but original, toning.

1858-O Seated dime A nice XF-45 representative of this scarce date, with just a trace of luster remaining at the rim. Excellent head detail. Probably cleaned off with soap & water at some point, but retains most of its original dirt and is not hairlined or wiped.

1862 Seated dime. Fine-15 with original, darkish tone. Pleasing. Civil War date, always in demand from Civil War relic collectors.

1867-S Seated dime. Bought from Brian Greer a few years back. He net graded it VF35. I grade it XF details, net VF30. This coin makes a strong impression at first, but it has several small detractions that must be considered in pricing it. There are two small nicks on Liberty's arm, one of which is heavy enough to bother me. Four miniscule pin-marks in Liberty's knee area. A few tiny ticks on the reverse, and some toned-over rim scrapes. Some slightly darker toning around the rim on both sides. Not a perfect coin, but how often do you see an 1867-s dime offered, which still has the veins in the leaves on the reverse? This coin is worth a strong price for the detail alone. Check out the Heritage auction archives- this coin is seldom offered for sale in any grade.

1872 Seated dime. XF45 or so with decent average surfaces.

1873-p No Arrows Seated dime. Fine or so, with a faint wipe in the obverse field. Nearly all of the original patina remains.

1873-s Seated dime XF40 or 45 for detail. It looks original at a glance, but careful tilting under a lamp reveals that there is a faint obverse wipe under the toning. There are some light hairlines running from top to bottom, but they are easily missed. This is one of my favorite Seated dime dates, as it seems undervalued and unappreciated compared to some of its No Arrows "S" mint brethren from the 1856-1872 era.

1875-S Seated dime. AU details, dipped long ago and now lightly retoning. Not a hairlined or polished coin. Good luster. Some minor scuffing in the fields, typical of the AU grade range.

1876-CC dime Greer-103, Fortin 110, repunched date. VF or so. Two criss-crossing scuffs under STATES. An average coin for the grade, but not ugly.

1886-P Seated dime. A nice original VF30 coin, but there is a shallow scrape on the right side of D in dime, which has partly flattened that letter. Not an ugly defect, but it's there.

1887-S dime Bought from JJ Teaparty as AU55. I grade it AU50, probably dipped in the past, but now with light toning. An attractive coin due to its sharp strike. Not hairined or wiped.
