It looks like Kevin Johnson will not quite get enough vote to win the mayoral race here in SacTown. Instead there will be a run off in November with the incompetent incumbent. Should be interesting. He is going to win the primary but appears he will be short of 50%. I bet he will have Magic, Barkley, et al coming through SacTown to stump for him!

    The Mayoral race here in Sacramento was cracking me up last night . . . more specifically it was the local media's coverage of the race. For those not living in this area, last night at the incumbent's party a tree branch fell on the bar where they were gathering and left a bump on the head of one of her supporters. The news crew went on and on about what a freak accident it was and they couldn't figure out what had caused the branch to break. They spent a good 7 or 8 minutes taking bad shots of foliage crushing a Tecate patio umbrella and reporting the calamity as if it were a tornado or earthquake.

    And the incumbent wasn't even swift enough to spin the whole thing and talk about how quickly the emergency crews had arrived . . .
