HBO's Mantle....

I normally post over on the U.S. Coin forum, but am an avid baseball/football fan, huge hockey fan (not so much hoops)..but I digress. I just watched HBO's special on Mickey Mantle, 'Mantle'. Though I am a Yankees fan, myself, any fan of baseball, regardless of who you root for, you know who Mickey Mantle was. Love, or hate the Yanks, this documentary showcased the tremendously great, yet hard partier...they showed him not for the Yankee he was, but for the special, once in a lifetime greats. I dont know when it was made, but man, just a tremendous job by HBO. Back to your scheduled programming.

    i caught that too, i hate the yankees but i watched that and read his book and saw 61, all great tales of his life. you would have to love watching and hearing about him play if your a baseball fan, no matter what team you root for. he must have been something to see in his prime.
