Broncos say goodbye to Travis Henry

The Denver Broncos cut mercurial running back Travis Henry, with coach Mike Shanahan saying Monday the move was more about Henry's personality than his play.

"He's just too inconsistent as a person. When you're too inconsistent as a person, you usually aren't going to win championships," Shanahan said during a spring workout later in the day.

"I'm not going to get into details what he did do or didn't do. You have to do little things. If you don't do the little things, obviously you can't count on somebody. So that's why he's released."

Denver's running game has been a joke ever since Portis left town. Mike Shanahan thinks his systom is all it takes, someone in Denver Managment needs to re think that and realize you still need good players to make things work..

I heard that Henry got in a fight with a Big Mac box and lost...can anyone confirm?

Interesting and not defending Travis Henry, but Henry did win his case against the NFL last year. Henry was decently quite and not stirring up the pot so to speak during it all and Shanahan did open his mouth on the same case enough to get a large fine from the Commish. With the lack of details and the funny little things comment, I wonder how much the two are related.

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
