Small Brenner Lincoln Plaque on ebay

This is the smaller version of VDB's famous plaque of Lincoln. These were frequently given out as gifts and awards back in the day. This looks like a nice authentic example, a real treat for the Lincoln Fan!!

    Ambro,

Here is a link to a story about the very plaque, medal, and photos that Brenner used when he was designing the Lincoln cent. The story is wonderfully entertaining, and a very neat look back in time to relationships and goings-on at the time. I wonder who won it at the Heritage sale?image

Yes it is a great story, and a lot of good obscure information. I had bid on the Heritage plaque....and was outbid. But, as luck would have it, right after I was outbid I searched on ebay and found the one I now have....for about 1/4 the price.

They are an amazing piece of coin history and something every Lincoln collector should strive to obtain.

Its very interesting how well the Brenner plaque 'photoshops' into the coin itself.

Auction finished with 37 bids selling for a tad less than 800$.

    did anyone here win it?
