Tracking Down Graded Cards

Question for you...Have you ever tried to track down the owners of PSA graded cards in the hopes of finding a particular card? Let's say that there is a card that you need to complete your set in PSA 9 or PSA 10. You can see from the registry that there are 7 of them graded and you want to try to locate all the owners of those particular cards to make an offer. I can think of 4 or 5 methods:

- Search the registry for sets that contain that card and contact the owner via email
- Have a saved search on eBay and hope it shows up
- Do a Want it Now on eBay
- Ask on these boards
- Join some wantlists

If I know that 7 of these cards exist and I'd like to secure one for my set...Can you think of anything I haven't yet done?

Thanks,

Talk to dealers and auction houses, as they have a better network than anyone....it helps if you are on good terms with that auctioneer / dealer, too.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
