I'm sorely disappointed with the quality of Kointains because they don't close tightly.

Thinking that it's high time to try something new to store some of my coins that are just too nice to keep slabbed, I placed an order for some Kointains™ a while ago, and they arrived today. We all know that Shield Nickels are the ugly, red-headed stepchildren of classic coinage, and Kointain™ reminds us of that by not having a direct fit holder for the series (Shields are a tad smaller in diameter than the other nickel series). I had to buy little rings to fit the coins into the holders. But I really didn't mind that, because I've become accustomed to the slights.

What does bother me -- and will keep me from using Kointains™ -- is the loose fit between the tops and bottoms of the holders. I had assumed that the fit would be nice and snug so that friction would keep the parts together. WRONG! I don't know if the the top is too small or if the bottom is too large; but, either way, they fall apart. AirTites work much better.

But I'm not too worried, because MrEureka pledged to design a perfect holder, and I'm looking forward to the product launch.
