If the Phillies ever fall out of first place again, could you kindly make a post here or in any thread, some negative remark about the Phillies not being in first place anymore - it always seems to help lift the Phillies back into first place and Phillies fans everywhere appreciate your help and thank you!
Please note that I'll be most happy to return the favor by buying the drinks if you attend the Phillies World Series victory parade later this year after the Phillies beat Boston 4 games to 2. I'd even be happy to include some delicious Philly cheesesteaks as well.

Dam I hate that when you and Jerry are being too nice - Might show you've got confidence in your Mets. Usually it's the good fans of a ballclub who "sense" when a team might be starting to hit their stride. Now I'm beginning to worry a little bit.
I kid around about the Mets as you know, but with the Phillies in first place, the Mets are still the team I'm looking at in the rear view mirror that concerns me. Washington of course is already done, and I just can't see Atlanta or Florida getting to the playoffs.
The interesting thing is that it's not impossible by any means for two teams from the East to get into the playoffs. The East was perceived in preseason as a bit weak but that hasn''t been the case. But as Jerry always says, still a long way to go yet.
