That's been Tropicana Field for years too, though now 'Rays Fans' seem to be jumping on the bandwagon more when the World Champs are in town.
  • it's cheaper to get a ticket to Florida, fly there, get cheap tix for a game and watch the sox in an Air Conditioned dome image

Well, both teams are playing better, so the home fans should show a little more support, especially the Rays! The Rays drew a pathetic 14,000 fans on Friday night. They only sold out last night because of a free concert after the game.

It's funny because the Rays fans really hate the Red Sox fans. A couple of years ago someone's Grandpa wanted to mix it up with me because I was on my feet with 2 outs in the 9th and Paps was fixing to get another save. It was actually pretty funny. (And no, I didn't beat his A$$) image

That's funny! I gotta say one thing, you Red Sox fans are cool and travel well, plus you live everywhere. I can't believe how many Sox fans I saw at the LA Coliseum game. That was a good following for a left coast game.

HA, I'm from Boston and work in Los Angeles - you have to understand that 3/4 of the Hollywood workforce is from New York and Boston, and a lot of it has to do with the fact that NY/BOS have like 6 of the best 10 film/tv schools in the country - NYU, Ithaca, Syracuse, BU, Emerson, The New School. So, since that's been happening for awhile, not only do those grads come to LA but they bring friends, family and the have new families of their own. I work for a movie company where one person out of 20 in our office is actually from LA. It's a transient city.

Makes sense -- and Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are your west coast RSN leaders!

Your PM is off BMan. What do you do in the industry? I'm a junior marketing exec. My fiance is an APOC and an aspiring writer
  • I just got back from Baltimore. Got to see Manny hit 501 today. Pedroia was incredible in the field, and nice shots
by Drew and Lowell too. Colon was hitting 95 on the gun, and Ellsbury was very good.

It was fun watching Kevin Millar and Manny making fun of Youkilis' batting stance before the game. Kevin was taking it in stride, but
it reminded me of the days when Kevin and Manny were the men on the team and Youk was a rookie.

And yes, there were tons of Red Sox fans as usual. I've been making the trip for the past four years now, and Baltimore always turns into a suburb of Boston when the Nation comes to town.

Red Sox fans are great fans - always have been. I'm looking forward to the Phillies beating the Red Sox in the upcoming World Series.

I went to a S.F. Giants home game a couple weeks ago. They were playing the Rockies that day. I bet I saw about 200 people with Red Sox gear on though.
