Compendium of the pieces of eight

Does anybody know the current price of a set of books "Compendium of the pieces of eight" by Calbeto? I hear they're almost never up for sale.
Thank you!

Should run $200-400, depending on the condition of the books. Well worth the price.

I know of 2 copies available - $975 each. And if you didn't realize it they are written in Spanish.

My copy is not for sale, but at $500 I'd have to sell it.

Keep checking. There was a book I wanted. I saw used copies for up to $300. I found a new copy for $49.

There are actually two copies of the Compendium on abebooks.com now:

One at $985.75 (=AUD$1000 since the seller is in Australia) and another for $975. Unless you
search by author (Calbeto), you will only find one since the Australian seller has misspelled the title
(Compenio). Another good reason to do multiple types of searches before buying....

My experience on abebooks.com is that prices are all over the map and generally have no bearing in
reality, especially when there are only a few copies listed. Antiquarian book sellers tend to be the
worst since they tend to vastly overprice books they don't know about so as not to possibly leave
    any money on the table.

And then there are the peddlers of reprints (books on demand), sometimes selling reprint titles for
higher prices than an original! Caveat emptor!

I just picked up a duplicate set. Condition is "Fine" by coin standards. I don't know how a book dealer would grade it. It's available at $400, including postage to anywhere in the US.
