Went to the Long Beach show today. First time ever going to that show (about an hour drive away). Was impressed with the size and the variety offered. Also got a few good deals.
However, I was really disappointed that many dealers started to pack up and leave after Noon. I expected the show to be running until 6pm as advertised, but at about 1pm I found myself rushing through the various dealers inventory. By 4pm it was pretty much a ghost town in there. I would have been really upset if I had been just showing up in the afternoon, probably would ask for my $6 admission back!! That is unfortunate as I'm sure I'm not the only local buyer that had to work Thursday & Friday and was looking forward to heading to Long Beach Saturday. Nevertheless, I understand that many dealers were from the east coast and had to catch planes and such. And the couple of deals I got made the trip worthwhile
I guess I'll just have to go to the next show too, but without as high of expectations when I show up on a Saturday.
