Won't bid because the label has a tilt....

This label is so tilted/miscut it is keeping me from even considering bidding on this card...
Is that normal? I know i could have it reholdered etc... Just saying how much I look at the centering of things when my brain is in card mode..

It's the new holder. They don't have holograms on it...

So now people will not bid because a label is a little off kilter?

The card looks fine, I'd be bidding to buy the card not the condition of the label.

    1. Hold holder upside down
    2. Tap gently in the palm of your hand
    3. Enjoy your straightened label
    4. Call a shrink and get some meds for your OCD.

One tap on the upper left corner and its fixed.

The newer (I believe they changed it about 6 months ago) SGC back has their name embossed on the clear plastic, instead of the hologram they used. Its a bit tougher to replicate the embossing than to counterfeit the hologram.

$400+ with almost 6 days left in the auction Wow......
I still trip on what people pay for slabbed 1980s sports cards in NRMT-MINT condition. There are thousands of those cards out there and a high % are razor sharp untouched just like that one.

That Young is very tough in a 10. The numbers don't lie. If you are surprised that card is over $400- the final bid will level you.
  • Actually, I am not so sure a tap will fix it. I don't believe the label will move, since the label was crooked cut. It looks snug in the window framing area, and no room for adjustment. Kinda like putting a square peg in a round hole.

Either way, as the old saying............. buy the card, not the holder. image
