PSA 7??? How can this card receive a 7??

image

Wouldn't the tilt on this card at best be an MC qualifier?? This is as bad as I have seen.

    9 MC + NQ=7?

Yeah, that's pretty severe. I can't say I've seen one that bad that did not have a qualifier attached to it.

Be happy you got a whole number... a 8oc would only equal a 6 !!!image

There was an autographed version of that card that sold a few days ago for a low price. I saw it in a search, looked at it, went back and finished my browsing, went back to execute the buy it now and someone had already beat me to it. It's a neat card. I think I'd rather have a non-tilted 6 though, then to have that tilted 7, but if I didn't have the choice between two, i'd be happy to own that 7.

Why would it be MC? I thought MC was for cards that actually cut off portions within the border (front or back).

Should be a 9OC if anything. I have a 54 Rizzuto just like it and it graded 8OC.

Card is not MC but OC tilted IMO. If it was MC it wouldn't fit into the slab.

Or a part of the other card would show...

Doesn't Psa offer some kind of option where you can choose to have the card slabbed 2 grades lower with no qualifier? For instance, this card may have graded a 9Q, but the submitter chose to take a straight 7 instead?

2 grades lower is for registry purposes only . if you have a 9 oc card and want it graded without qualifiers , it is possible the card could get a psa 1 if the centering was that bad.

in this case, this card should definately be qualified , if holderd at all.

That's the worse looking tilted slabbed card I've ever seen.
That looks like a grading mistake in my opinion. Who would even bother sending in that dog for grading?

    Should be graded a : AT5
    transalation : authentic, tilted, 5 .

    Look at it this way.......

A modern Topps card with a very noticeable "diamond cut" is extremely rare.... why doesnt the "Got to have what others dont" crowd bid this to high heaven like the more common PSA-9 or PSA-10 cards image

Its a 7 IMO, but the eye appeal sucks on this one.

Ever heard this....."Buy the card not the slab" image

"Diamond Cut".... Very common in some vintage sets

Centering at the worst spot can be 75-25 and still fit into a PSA 7 range. I'm not going to try to count pixels and see how that one ends up. It's still an exceptionally ugly card for the grade, due to the severity of the tilt.

But there's no chance it should have gotten a MC qualifier.
