Help on shipping internationally

I guess I need to look before I offer coins for sale in certain countries, but in reading the restrictions I can not ship a coin to Portugal. Does this include ALL forms of mailing, or should I send this using UPS?

Why would a country forbid shipping a coin?

I have shipped a lot of coins to Portugal with no problems. Most times when the USPS has 'coins' on a country's prohibited list it doesn't apply to numismatic items.

Ahh, I think I get your point. image

I don't think Portugal circulates too many Escudo coins anymore so that must make it a numismatic item.

On registered mail you have to use that weird brown paper tape, correct?

Yes, you have to use paper tape on Registered Mail items. My local PO will let you use theirs as long as it is only on an envelope.
