California token, 1849, with gold panner

Does anyone have any information on this token / medalet? Please forgive the amateurish photos; I'll try to get some better ones uploaded.

I've got one of those around somewhere, but mine looks like it was in someone's pocket for quite some time.

Check the Heritage Archives for a Ref. No.

I believe yours is a gilt bronze piece.

    Thank you, MacCrimmon and Blackhawk!

Your link was very helpful. The token appears to correspond to this description:

Round Liberty copy of 1849 1/2 eagle + Miner with top hat hold very large nugget, palm trees behind, 1849 below, "CALIFORNIA" above. Apparently brass, usually seen heavily worn. These are apparently contemporary gambling tokens that were produced in Europe. See "California Counters" by Fauver. Appears to be F-300 (common).
