Louisa Adams Spouse Coin-Same Price
I don't know if this is old news or not but I was surprised that there was no reduction in the price for the new Spouse coin. I guess they want to keep the sales low.
Gold and silver are valuable but wisdom is priceless.

Anyone want to guess as to which Uncirculated Spouse and what mintage figure comes in as low for series?
I'll do a little research before I make my guess.
<< <i>We have yet to see them cut off sales before the mintage limits. I suppose they will on the slow movers. I would like to see some go under 5000. That would be interesting. >>
did you mean 500?
me? i think the coin is over priced right from the get go. A half ounce
of gold pressed into a coin for 600 uncirculated? yikes. if gold was a
1000 bucks an ounce, stable, i would not be so shocked.

I did mean 5000 but 500 would be more so. I don't see that happening though even in an overpriced situarion. There are just too many people who keep up with sales figures these days and if they saw that figure they would buy- that is unless the mint cut off sales early and surprised everyone.

my mistake, you meant mintage. I was reading your post as two individual thoughts
about mintage and price (but price with a typo).
Thanks for rephrasing it for me. I now understand what you mean.
I do understand why a low mintage of 5000 would be desirable.
500 mintage would be crazy! ;-)

I would be happy to pay a 20% premium for coins with a mintage of under 5000!
