I see the eBay DSR now goes out to two decimal places

Yep, and now we can tell exactly who dings them. Like one of my recent ones that was part of the PayPal eCheck delay debacle. I upgraded his shipping to make up for PayPal's screwup. Cost more than double what he paid, and he dinged my shipping cost DSR. Last time I do that.

  • Where do you see that? Mine is still at one decimal place.

Can you tell directly, or is it just an educated bit of sleuthing?

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I have a feeling that if the sellers can see how specific buyers rated their DSRs, we'll see a lot fewer buyers even leaving the ratings.

Directly. They are changing in real time with each feedback. Before when it was rounded to the nearest 10th it took quite a few feedback to see a change. Now that it's rounded to 100th the last digit changes with each new feedback.

Ah, ok, so, you know if you watch it and see each change and each feedback come in, but ebay still isn't saying "Buyer XXX gave you 5-4.2-3-4.9"....

This is BS. I missed out on my 15% rebate because my shipping and handling DSR was 4.79 (needs to be 4.8). I dont really care that much but what does make me angry is that I missed out because they had it as 4.7 when in fact it was 4.78. In other words, they DID NOT ROUND up to 4.8 on my last invoice. Going out to 2 decimal points affectively increases the score needed to qualify for rebates, or worse, it means before they went to the 2 decimal places a 4.79999999999999 counted as a 4.7 and not the logical (and mathematically provable) 4.8!!!

Mine has been dropping too. I'm at 4.8 now and expect it to go down soon. Unless shipping is free people won't be satisfied. image

Free shipping would drop it more. Too many buyers select "3" because they think it means "not applicable".

I guess when no seller can maintain 4.8 e-bay might finally figure something is wrong. image

As time goes on, buyers will become increasingly aware of the impact the DSR's have on sellers and more 5's will be forthcoming. Right now, because eBay used screwy definitions and provided no education, buyers are operating in the dark.

You guys getting the extra decimal point have 100 or more DSR ratings?

I'm at 96 and still the way it was originally.

People that get feedback sparingly could tell easily who gave them a 4 or lower.

    Steve
    Good for you.

My DSR's are all over 400 ratings. I show 2 decimal points now.

I only see it in the dashboard. The normal feedback page does not go out that far for me. My dashboard is much lower than my regular feed back page, where they rounded up to the nearest tenth.

It is only in the dashboard for everybody.

I'm surprised the board "ebay conspiracy theorists" aren't on here saying:

"ebay has people who bid and win items just to give slightly lower DSRs so ebay doesn't have to give the discounts"
