A Hit List 40 VAM question
In a previous post it was stated that SSDC was trying to get PCGS to recognize the Hit List 40 Coins in the variety attribution program.
What I was wondering is if PCGS starts doing this will they finally give full attribution to the 21 S 1B1-1B7's?
I've gotten several Thornheads in recently. 2 1B5's and a 1B4 on the way and I'm wondering if I should hold off sending them in for another year or so till they start to recognize all the Hit List 40 VAM's, in hopes of getting the full attribution on the label.

I'll see your bunny with a pancake on his head and raise you a Siamese cat with a miniature pumpkin on his head.
You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.

The day such a document comes off the printing press will be the day the Hit List 40 coins take a huge step toward being attributed by PCGS; my guess is within 6-12 months. Without it, however, it may never happen.

I agree
I only count 16.
<< <i>It's better they don't distinguish 1B1 and 1B7.... >>
May we ask why?
Additionally, I would send what you have for regular submission now and get them into holders. I don't care what anyone says: When the value of a coin goes way up, it seems to knock a few points off the grade to cover their A**. UNless of course your someone special then it adds a few points sometimes.

I'm curious of the same thing. Is it from a registry set prospective that you dont want them to distinguish between the various stages, since some of them are rather hard to come by?
I love collecting VAMs but I also am not a rich man so anything that could possibly increase the value of my collection, if and when I have to sell some, is a good thing to me.

#1 is the 1888-O VAM 1B "Scarface"

Now that would be cool. That is a set I would be all over in a heartbeat. I love crack (on coins)

I'd nominate 1884 O VAM-32A if they ever make a die break list.
