  • I doubt it is anything more than a manufactured "rarity", and I use that last word very loosely. I have never had much faith in sellers who post disclaimers like, "Coin has been left uncleaned and no attempt at cleaning has been initiated by us". Note the key words "BY US". Nope, I wouldn't even up the current bid of $3.25, since with shipping costs, you'd be out $6.24 for what I honestly believe is a fraudulent coin.
  • I'm with Iloilokano.

    I collect Philippine error coins so when I'm in the Philippines dealers tend to show them to me. Too many are "manufactured" in Iloilokano's sense, and this looks to me like one of them. However, even if IloIloKano is right, $10 isn't a bad price to pay for an interesting fraud. I've paid up to $110 for interesting 1906-S counterfeits, including some slabbed by third-tier grading services. It's become an interesting collection.
