Just sifting through some old stuff and came across this coin that I couldn't ID, can anyone help?

It is a copy of a Spanish-American "pillar dollar", like this one. I say "copy", because it's rusty; silver doesn't normally turn splotchy brown like that. The lettering appears to be the wrong size, too.

See if it sticks to a magnet? If it does, it's iron or steel, and not silver.

I agree with Sapyx, looks like a copy of a Spanish pillar dollar or Piece of Eight.
Hispaniola is what the Spanish call Spain.
  • I don't even need to do the magnet test, it is definately Iron based on the rust. Thank you for your help.
