Are you still intriqued or somewhat interested in the coins if you decide not to continue collecting

I gave up on Roosies when I realized I couldn't grade them....I gave up the pursuit of Buffalos after I almost went cross-eyed looking at so many with problems....and there are other examples I can give. My question is, if you discontinue your focused "hunt" for coins of a particular series, will you buy a few that catch your eye...or do you just turn away from them completely? Thanks for any responses,

Shawn

I've only collected a few sets in life (IHCs and Mercs) and once I sold the sets I never went back. Granted a kept a few key IHCs and I've upgraded to a very nice 1916-D Dime, but a really beautiful XF-AU IHC just doesn't thrill me like it used to. So, to answer your question, no, I don't go back, but I can see how others might. There's not reason not to if an eye appealing coin or tough date comes along...

Positive BST transactions with: too many names to list! 36 at last count.

I buy what I like and what catches my eye, or what I find to be cool. If that includes a series that I formerly collected, sobeit.

Guilty. I quit collecting vams about a year ago. Still can't look at a morgan without thinking about the possible die breaks it may have.
