Thoughts on this early Lincoln cent

Here's a new addition to the collection and I'm curious to find out what everyone thinks about it. Thanks in advance for your input!

    65 or 66 RD.

As you probably know, the 1919-P had an extraordinarily high mintage and has the distinction of possessing the highest graded Lincoln Wheat cent. That would be a PCGS MS69 Red that resides in the LMS collection.

    MS64RD...
  • It's an MS65RD. Nice color on it, with some yellows and magentas in there but I'd still call it red even if it were cracked out and graded today. Very few marks whatsoever, only flaws are a few rim dings, particularly between the N and G on the obverse, and a few minute carbon flecks. It's an attractive coin in person, much nicer than my photos on this one illustrate.
