1985 topps football

tgif, i recently purchased a 1985 topps complete football set for 18 dollars. all cards are in great shape except the centering on the back, if you are a collector of this set and have any in depth knowledge of of this set i would be interested. i would say all cards are 8-9s, how bad is the non centering going to cost me? i still believe i have a great set for the price.

    You do indeed have a fantastic set for the price. Other than the Warren Moon RC, don't bother getting the others graded; just put them in a binder/pages and enjoy them that way.

    Also, how do you like the design of the set? IMO, this is definetly by far the most radical design Topps has done for any mainstream sports set.

    One of the toughest sets to get 9s and 10s. Arnyvee is a good one to consult on this set. Check over on the PSA Set forum for the 85 Football thread, there is probably good information over there.

    i do enjoy the set, however the black borders can be hard to maintain, what about the elway and marino worth over 500 each in gem?? learing the gradeds with psa i could see an 7-8 thanks for the info

    Tough cards. Submit for grading cards with NO white showing, whatsoever. Corners are tough, as is centering.

    Nothing wrong with a good raw set.

    One of my favorite Elway cards to collect , I think you did damn well for 18 bucks !
