Presumably we'll hear their rant shortly...

It's being promoted on the BST...(and Rob...it is not Frank's!) image
  • Yep....I dont know if its from the same seller, but ModernCoinMart, cancelled bids on '08 Rev '07's. They just put them up, and boom, gone, with about a week left. Who is holding out now trying to push the price up? Listing, then pulling them, hoping for a better payday is just flat out wrong...its flat out bull$hit. There is another thread where a forum member just comes out and admits 'pulling' auctions. Trust me, I will no longer be bidding on ModernCoinMart's coins, NOR any other seller who just feels like 'pulling' auctions whenever he/she wants.

That's interesting. I've posted in a few threads that went poof as I was typing.

Just for the record it was NOT Moderncoinmart.

I think it was pulled because it was a raw coin that was cracked out of a slab...and he had the insert showing the certification info above the 2X2....I am not 100% sure, but that was my guess!
  • Maybe MCM sold them offline image. At any rate MCM was was one of the original providers an in fact sold way too soon IMO. They even had a dutch auction for 5 PCGS First StrikeSM MS70's that sold for $1,350 about 10 days ago (same buyer bought all the coins). The guy that bought the coins did better than they did.

YIKES!!! Not a bad return (assuming he flipped already) for 10 days. If he hangs on to them for a short while, it should be QUITE a nice return. Seeing how the '95-W is about 5 grand, I dont know if I'd hold or not. Though, making 10 grand in 10 days, hell, I'd seriously think about flipping. Even if they do climb northward, I'd be VERY happy. $1,000 a day....thats not too shabby now, is it?
