In my experience, the WiFi in the bourse area is not reliable and I've never been able to get onto the web for any appreciable amount of time or get anything done.

I think your signal depends on where you are in the room - maybe I just have a bad spot.

If the airlines are charging $15 to check a bag, perhaps the show promoters should charge a fee for a good wifi spot on the bourse?

I would gladly pay extra to be able to get online and, for example, write an extremely uproarious Road Report.

The WiFi works well at ground level. I don't doubt there are problems down below on the bourse. I can't get a phone signal down there either.

Edited to say that I use T-Mobile for phone.

My office manager has a T-Mobile phone and can't dial out at Long Beach. I have Sprint phone and a Sprint broadband card in my laptop and have no problems at all.

Edited to say T-Mobile (Nextel IS Sprint!)
