double struck german pfenning

I know you want to see pictures but my scanner won't show the doubling. Almost all of the letters in Deutschland, the date and the oak leaves are doubled. Is this a common occurance in german pfennings? This is the first one I have found. It is an 1950 g five pfenning in xf-au. Thanks for any info, Olmanjon
