Full Dansco album of unc Jeffersons 1938-1996, including many outstanding bullseye toners. Quite a few excellent gem coins. Highlights include:

38-S gem w/ jawdropping rainbow
39-S / rev 40 that is at least 64FS, maybe better, with great rainbow tone ...
39-D / rev 38 that is a 65 with a perfect concentric bullseye ...

and a 59(P) that has superb gem+ surfaces and perfect full steps under a layer of dusty, ugly, please-dip-me toning.

At least another ten coins in here that will improve my current set, and maybe more. $300 all in -- good enough for me!

How much do you think it would cost to put together a set like this?

My current set is the result of my having snilched the nicest coins out of around a dozen such sets, as well as picking up the odd beautiful single here and there, and I guesstimate I'm in around $600?

As for pics, I'll see what I can do although I'm pretty well incompetent with coin pictures so don't hold your breath. I'll try to get a pic of the 39-D; it's a stunner.

So here's the 39-D. Upon scrutiny, I'm thinking it's more of a 64, as it does not have the luster I'd want to see to call it a gem ... but I think you can probably also see where I'm coming from when I say that's beside the point with this particular coin. It is not a great picture, but you'll get the idea.

That sure is nice in my eyes and I'm not a Jeff man.
I'm glad you picked up the set because you appreciate it so much.
I wonder things like who put it together in the first place?
How long did it take them?
    Who sold it and why?

    Nice pic by the way.

    Mirabella,

What makes that coin a 64? Just wondering?
