(: Thoughts on this 1794 Cent? :)

not mine... and I do not know this series well... but I think this is a very cool looking coin... just wondering what the experts think. I can see the hair is flat.. i am assuming this is because the failing die?

Grade about 35.
Seen many that have the flatness on the hair and many that do not.
Is probably just wear.

Here is a example of a ms one of the same die.

Placid, I'd like to buy that coin as a 35.

I'll admit it has me a little befuddled but the lower relief devices look AU to me. I'd say the flat spots are mostly a result of die failure/strike. The only thing that I don't like is the corrosion spot on the reverse. --Jerry

Btw is a nice site Here with pictures of almost all the 1794 varieties. The coins varry a good amount in grade and you can get a good idea of wear patterns on these coins.
