Cash questions

Not only can I not identify these cash-type coins...I don't even know if they're real. All have varying patina/corrosion and have symbols that I'm not familiar with. Any help with their identities would be appreciated.

Give me a minute or three... there's a bunch of Northern Song in there, I think, but I will get back to you with a more definitive answer soon.

Here's what they appear to be to me:

    1. Northern Song, Yuanfeng Tongbao, 1078-1085, Ding 964

    2. Annam, Hongduc Thongbao, 1470-1497, Toda 58 (I think)

    3. Northern Song, Xianping Yuanbao, 993-1003, Ding 876

    4. Northern Song, Xining Yuanbao, 1068-1077, Ding 945

    5. Northern Song, Shaosheng Yuanbao, 1094-1097, Ding 991 (?) or maybe Ding 997(?)

They don't look especially fake to me but I can't guarantee anything.

They look authentic to me from here

on the reverse of the 2nd coin it looks like the mold shifted to the bottom right part-way through solidification, anyone have any thoughts?

It certainly looks that way. In general it has always seemed to me that the Annamese were the poorest craftsman producing cash coins, so maybe it's not too surprising.

I haven't dabbled with old Annamese coins yet, but I'll be keeping that in mind when i do

I have a few Korean cahs coins with the mold shift as well. It's sorta neat.

As far as poor quality goes, some of the later Korean cash coins are pretty poor, especially those at the very tail end minted in the late 1880s through to 1891.
