A word of advice for anyone taking inventory of their collection......

Do it as you purchase things, and keep a running tally of what you spend, what stuff is worth, etc. I didn't and now I've been at it for 3 months off and on and I'm still not finished, though I can see the finish line. Time consuming! But necessary.

That aint no lie Ron.
That ship sailed 30 yrs ago! I have no idea how much I have or any idea what it's all worth. Of course the 90s crap I'm saving for the big freeze!
Now, the invoice stays with the item if in an album or filed otherwise.

Once I get the cards done, then I can move on to autographs.....sigh.

That said, anything that's in my PC - if I'm forced to sell it, what I paid isn't going to make much difference, because I would have to be in a real bind to start selling off cards, comics or autographs.

It's question like those that keep me from even trying to keep track. I often wonder what would happen if I had to make an insurance claim. There's no way at this point I could even start to catalogue 40 years worth of collecting, trading, buying and selling. Any attempt to do so would also take all the fun out of it.
My only plan at this point is to dump it all on some unsuspecting relative when I pass on.
