Who is the guy that makes custom cards?

Please forgive me for not remembering names, real or screen names. But, I have an awesome pose of my son in one of his little league games that I would like to have made into a custom made baseball card. Just can not remember the CU user that makes them nor could I find the old thread about the Koufax cut card. Can someone hook me up with an email address?

If you're talking about doing it for a fee?

    It's Knuckles.

  • Not sure but have to throw this thread up to show off my boy's homerun pose. Of course I still need help with the link. Please excuse me if I am gushing with pride but may throw in one of him pitching too.

Do that pic on a 63 Topps design with that pic as the one in the circle and get him in a studio style pose outside for the main box - would be a cool gift for him...would also work on 55/56 Topps designs
  • I was thinking '63 too. Thought about getting son, he's 9, to sign a ball then cut it out and add it to card. Have some graded slab card holders. Would like to stick this card in slab and make my own label with a Gem Mint grading and include a piece of his Cubs jersey like BGS does.

Don't worry - I had a 63 Havlicek made the other day for my own lunacy so this took 90 seconds- but yes, 63's are really cool for this type of project. I hope Knuckles does a nice one for you. I may ask him to do the Havlicek rookie

Keith Conforti, otherwise known as "Con40", also has made some really nice custom "virtual" cards. He's taken actual Topps designs and made phantom cards of players, such as a 1967 Nolan Ryan and 1960 Ted Williams.

He might be worth a shot also image

The CU member that made the Koufax cut card was HerritageAddict, and here is the link to the Koufax cut card thread.

I use both HeritageAddict and TheHun to make my custom cards. HeritageAddict does my sports division and TheHun does my political division. I'd recommend them both. Knuckles makes some nice looking ones, but the prices are a lot higher than the HeritageAddict and TheHun.

    Take care,

Do those guys actually print them (I mean the ones that don't have custom cuts). Please PM me with what you've paid in the past - I'm thinking of having the 62 or 63 Topps Havlicek created with a cut sig. I'm anxious to know what something like that costs.

I can only speak for Garett - he has them professionally printed - so the quality is top notch.

His work is as good as anything the card companies come up with IMO.

Another option you might want to pursue if your kid collects cards, is to get him an official Topps trading card printed by Topps, here is the link:

    Topps custom cards

Or, if Upper Deck is more his choice, try this:

    Upper Deck custom cards

  • Knuckles is the man!, He's made several cards for me. I can vouch for him, his cards are very well crafted, better than any trading card company.

    heres some of Knuckles creations!

  • Thanks for everyones help and compliments. That photo in thread is an awesome homerun shot. Photographer got about 25 good action photos of my son and only cost me $20. Got one great shot of him sliding into home underneath the catcher with the ump right behind him giving the safe sign.
