Jeter currently has 2,399 hits. He is 16 hits away from #3 on the all time Yankee hit list (Mickey Mantle with 2,415 hits). If Jeter gets his usual 200 hits this year he will pass Babe Ruth (#2 with 2,518 hits). Next year Jeter should pass Lous Gehrig (#1 with 2,718 hits). Jeter has more hits than Pete Rose did at the same age.

    Now that the HR man is back in the line up things are looking up for the Yankees.

    I got a lot of respect for Jeter, most guys would have taken the next day off after getting hit on the wrist. A class act for sure.
