well in a general sense, the coinage went from the Louis XVI issues (1780-92 and before), to the one year type 1793 Republic issues, to the 1794-1802 French Republic issues (i'm thinking of the copper coins with the Republic Head on them and the "L'An" dating system), to the Napoleonic coins from about (1803-10 and after)
