Looks like the fakers are starting to get into minors

    Maybe he's an honest seller.

    Or maybe he's looking for someone to contact him asking for quantities of unmarked copies.

    I don't know.

    BTW, I just heard of a large group of fake 1797 Great Britain cartwheel twopences floating around England. The quality was said to be very good.

    I really don't have a problem with this seller. All the coins are stamped 'Replica' on them and his shipping isn't unreasonable.

    This is no different than selling those copies of rare US coins. What's the company? Gallery or something?

    I don't have a problem with this particular seller... although, it would seem if one seller is honest, another one may not be so forthcoming. I am mostly just concerned that other producers may finally slip away from the crown market into the minors...

    This one turns up in my Conder searches from time to time, but it's clearly marked as a replica and sure does look like one, too!
