I'm Looking For An Answer To A Baseball Trivia Question

We all know that Orel Hershiser holds the record for most consecutive scoreless innings by a pitcher at 59 innings (equivalent to a bit more than 6 1/2 games). But does anyone know what the record is for most consecutive scoreless innings BY A TEAM? In other words, this would likely involve a team's entire starting rotation. I don't know the answer, but I can't see it being more than, hmmm, 63 innings (equivalent to 7 consecutive shutouts).

In 1974 the Baltimore Orioles pitching staff realed off 5 straight shut out from September 2nd to September 6th. When you add the last 1-1/3 innings from September 1st and the 1st eight innings from September 7th , we have 54-1/3 innings total. This streak also included 2 double headers and a bit of history. On September 2nd ( labor day) , it was the only time in major league history that a team won both games by the score of (1-0).

I don't know if this is the record or not, but being from Baltimore in my teens, it was sure nice.

1905 World Series had 5 games and all were shutouts too.
