Just bought a Roger Clemens Card

I couldn't stop myself... I collect the donruss rookie reprint autos, and these have sold for $300+ in the past, and I kept getting outbid....

Pardon my ignorance, but was it $99.00 for the Clemens or all the cards pictures? I suspect the former. Just curious. In any case, I like 'em. Very cool. Thanks.

Are those reprints or actual buybacks of the originals?

Just for the Clemens....the rookie reprint autos always sell quite well. I couldn't quite pull the trigger on any of them at $300 though except the maddux. I have seen the maddux go for $500.

What is even crazier than these are the 2001 Topps archives autos. The nolan card below has sold for over $800 in the past. I know I sold the George Brett out of the set for $600.

Some are reprints, some are buybacks. The ones with the foil stamp "recollections" are buybacks...the ones with 20th anniversary are reprints. The topps pictured are reprints (topps archives, stars, team topps, heritage are all reprints).
Topps fan favorites are reprints of the design, but slightly different portrait than original, like my schmidt.

That's a pretty cool set. I wish Fleer did that with 86-93 basketball.

Great set. I have never seen them before. I guess there are some good products
from the 80's. Congrads. Your timing on that Clemens was spot on. Joe

PS - most of them are $20-30 except for johnson, manny, maddux, ripken, and bonds...
