I would like to think the many MPL collectors on this site. Everyone has been so helpful. I have been working on MPL's for a while and i lurked around on this site for a year before my wife every signed me up. ( i am computer challanged along with my spelling and use of the english vocabulary) I think she signed me up as "pennyannie" for payback. My wife can search and sort thru a bag of circ wheat cents so fast...
Anyway since joining up here i have learned so much!! Lasvegasteddy has come to my rescue on the 1909 mpl and Brian (BWRC) is the MPL man. He made spending money with him painless. MPLunitic and so on. I have 13 MPL's but only a few "nice" ones. Hopefully that will change shortly with BWRC's help. This site is definately going to lighten the wallet. Some of the MPL's that i have seen in you guys registry's set are unbelieveable. From Curly's 1912 to ....

Really neat, a baseball cap with MPL across the front, on the side is a multi colored bust of Lincoln.
when you get your VDB, Brian will send you your official MPL suit., Looking much like a mid '70s leisure suit, it glistens in muted shades of rose, turquoise, orange, chocolate and crimson. If you were lucky enough to have a bad case of acne in high school, you can add "granularity" to the look!
But, much like the Crips or the Bloods, you must do a certain "deed" to join the gang. That unfortunatly, is the spending of one of your MPLs at the local Quick-E-Mart.
I was at my local B&M 6 months ago and a man was in there with his son. The son was 4 or 5 years old and quite a handful. He was running around and whinning (my 2 favorite things for kids to do) Apparently the kid had scoped the place out. He jumped up on a chair by his dad (who was looking at buffalo nickels) and started whinning for a coin. His father reached over for a box of circulated buffalo nickels and told him he could get one. (they were marked 2 bucks each) The kid grabbed one, jumped off the chair and ran toward the door, within seconds and before anyone could stop him he deposited it in a gum machine. Drop, turn,gone here comes the gum ball. Myself and 2 others burst out in laughter. After a few minutes the kids father asked the owner of the store if he would retrieve the nickel from the machine. The owner replied that the machine belonged to a charity organization and he did not have the key. I left about that time to head on down the road. A few days later i stopped by the store and we all had a good laugh over the nickel. The owner showed me the key to the gum ball machine. lol

Waiting in the wings is a customized 1961 Lincoln continental 4 door Convertible, again, beautifully painted in pearl rose, turquoise, chocolate and crimson, Brian has that waiting in a heated garage in Akron Ohio, awaiting the lucky maker of the first 1917 PCGS Matte Proof Lincoln!!
(sorry guys its been a boring cold sunday, Made 8 "things" all to big and in frustration smashed them all on the floor and then threw the pieces away in a black trash bag. Ill measure again and try tomorrow.}
