The Washington Quarter Series is in a bad way for # of reasons yet I STILL happen to love the series as it offers so many yet to be documented Varieties, DDOs, like the one on my sigline, punched over Mint marks, RPMs, DDRs etc.
Anyone as involved with this series as I have been, for quite a number of Years, knows exactly why this!
It IS NOT The Economy. Forget that!
Collectors no longer have the same "Fervor" they once had. To date, I have sold MANY key Washington Quarters. There was once a time when PCGS 64 1932-D could not be found. There is something terribly wrong here. Pop has more than doubled since those days, just a few years ago. Something is definitely hurting this series.
Whereas I once had a standing Offer from a particular Major Dealer who said "I'll pay YOU $6,000, all day/ every day for ALL the PCGS 64 1932-D you bring me" (which I rejected) .... NOW that deal looks pretty darn good because collectors are now very hard pressed and quite Fortunate to get anywhere CLOSE TO 4.5 K!
PCGS 67s on the Market, just a few years back, was akin to throwing raw meat to a pack of Wild dogs. The Frenzy is OVER! So - what went wrong? Is there an ultimate "Blame"? Maybe so.
I STILL HAVE what amounts to a "Hoard" of very beautiful, hand-picked Superb Gem Quarters - some PCGS certified and still more that are certifiable (as close to Perfect as Perfect can be) .... but if this is a portent, a barometer of the 32-64 series' status, it's better that they be put away for many years than to give them away.
REGARDLESS AND AS SUCH, I STILL HAVE
Available and For Sale - MORE PCGS 67 and 66 Washington Quarters that are as nice as they come. Anyone that has seen the Quality of my hand-picked Cherries KNOWS what to expect from me. Anyone wanting the best looking pieces around - contact ME! As Time permits I will ALWAYS first offer them HERE!
****************************************************************************************
I have all the 1934 Varieties graded by PCGS (except for the DDO) including Light & HEAVY MOTTO as well as a very rare 1934-D "Small D" HEAVY MOTTO, PCGS 65. Very low pop.
For more information either PM me or drop me a line at the email address associated with my set, Boom's Quarters.
As promised ....
Thank you.
AND, THE STILL PHOTOS FOR YOU TO STUDY.
Couple of shots of the Obverse simply moving the light source around.
This coin has NEVER BEEN OFFERED ANYWHERE BEFORE AND HENCE, UNTIL NOW, HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN.
This is a fine Cherry. It is even better looking IN PERSON. We'll work on other candidates later.
