12 Free POP POP POP First time POPer with Scans

This was my first sub, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I think on average things turned out about how I expected.
A little info on the cards: The number in the () is what I thought the card should grade
Elway(9) and Marino(8) both came from a Raw set I got on ebay that was listed as Mint.
81 Brett(10) came from a rack and was the only card in the sub that I really thought was a 10.
Sandberg(8.5 Centering) came from a vending box.
78 opc's are both crack outs that I thought had shots at 9. Got one right.
76 Simmons I thought was an (8) or (9), It has a soft corner.
56 Janowicz is the only one that I'm really disappointed with. I was really hoping for a (7). Maybe a resub.
81 OPC Ryan(9) came from an Obviously cherry picked box I got from Leeimage Thanks Lee!
51 Topps Magic(3) was the only real surprise of the bunch, but after looking at it a little closer I found a tiny bit of paper loss on the back.
82 Ripkin(9) I should have known there had to be one that was either min size, or eve of trimimage
71 Ted Simmons (8.5) Got a little lucky on this one I think. But, I've never seen another 9 for compairison.

That 56 Janowicz is a great example on the premium that BVG places on centering. I can see it in a 6 or 7 holder. I had the same issue with my 61 Fleer sets. If I bought PSA 7's to cross and the centering was 70/30, they would come back 6's but if I bought 7's that were 50/50, they would often end up in 7.5/8 holders.

That must be it. The corners are a little soft for a 7, but you don't see the card centered that well very often. Guess that's why I really thought it would come back a 7.

No .5 in the bunch either.

I've got 130+ cards in 4 subs in right now, so I hope the grading stays consistent throughout all 130

I will gladly buy the 56 topps Vic Janowicz from you if you want to sell it. Looks like a great first sub, the Elway looks really nice and not sure, but seems like the Marino wouldn't look off in a 8.5 holder.

Sorry, the 56 Janowicz stays in my Janowicz master set. All 7 cards of it.

The Marino has two corners that are keeping it from a 9/10 holder. I think it's an 8, but I was hoping for the .5.
The 78 Brett should be a .5 IMO.

That 81 Ryan OPC is the grey back variation. Might be the only 9 in grey back. Wish they'd make the distinction on the flip.
