I'm usually a lurker here in the WC forum, but spend most of my time in the MD forum.

Can anyone help me by providing the mintage years of this coin?
(a friend found one while metal detecting)

    It looks like it's a single year mintage - 1831, although it came with a lot of different mint marks.

    The link you privided had a amintage listed............but I see it said copies.

    Was just advised that:

    "They were minted from 1831 to 1848."
