Why MC grade instead of a Qualifier MC?

Does anyone know why sometimes PSA gives grades with an MC qualifier, but other times just gives MC and gives vouchers? I submitted a full set of 1978 Sunbeam Stickers (non-sport). 26 of the 30 got grades, mostly 8's and 9's. A couple got 8MC. There are 4 others that only got MC, but I am sure they were no worse than the 8MC's.....now i have to go find singles to fill my set...
Any ideas?

I'm sure a 5 minute phone call can give you a better reason why than any of us could.

Craig, the MC with voucher PSA claims the card will not fit inside the slab.

    The MC qualifier it does.

I had a real nice mint mint oj rookie.. but it had a paper defect it was printed over...
they labeled it miscut and gave me a voucher... I think they didn't have a proper qualification
to call mine.. so they chose to not holder it and give me a voucher.. that is just my scenario

An MC qualifier means that the card is missing part of its picture or shows part of the picture of another card.

Being listed as miscut and not graded means that the card is not the correct shape. There is some tolerance on vintage cards for irregular cutting (borders not parallel), but nodern cards that have funny angles are almost always rejected for this.

PSA rejected this one for miscut twice, I couldn't find anything wrong so I tried BVG. Once I saw it in the holder I could see it's a diamond cut.
